A Forthcoming Season
Christmas is right around the corner once again, a day where
we celebrate not just the birth of God’s son, but also wherein we all gather
and have a merry day having fun with all our friends and family. This
celebration and festive season have been grasped all around the world, a
tradition. Where all homes have a feast as a family, I might say it’s quite a
lovely celebration indeed. The day is almost here, the day we can rejoice and
celebrate with our families once more.
Our family always celebrate Christmas, even the day before.
Our grandparents, uncles, aunts, sisters, brothers, cousins, and of course me
and my parents. Christmas Eve, the day before Christmas, we all have a
wonderful evening chatting and catching up with each other as a one big family.
This often lasts from afternoon to 11 o’clock at night. We all start with out
warm greetings and possibly with some gifts, all family brings at least 1 or 2 snacks
or food for the celebration. Then all throughout the night is chatting, catching
up, play games, eating and it won’t be complete without the karaoke session. Even
before Christmas, we can already see the bond in our family, and it feels splendid.
Like in Christmas Eve, we also celebrate on the exact date
of Christmas, December 25. The only difference of the celebration we had for
Christmas Eve and Christmas is that, we don’t celebrate as a whole, just our
parents, my siblings and me. Most of the time, we play games and also do exchange
gifts. Truthfully, I really like it when we do buy gift for each other. In the
morning of Christmas, we prepare for our meals for tonight. In the evening, we
eat, play and sing all throughout the night, we enjoy the time we all spent
together, laughing and enjoying the moment with a smile. That is how we
celebrate, with joy and excitement, that is Christmas.
