122nd Highschool Day in ISNHS, A Success No Doubt!
The 122nd Highschool Day, A day that students anticipates the most and the day that celebrates the founding of our school, Ilocos Sur National Highschool. There were lots of activities and events during this special day and we got to experience all of these hands-on.
The day started with the Grand Parade, where all sections and its' students carrying their props, went around a certain route in Vigan, the section advisers also went to accompany their advisory class. The King, Queen, Princes and Princesses also partake in the parade. Each grade levels were arranged before the parade started. As the parade started we were observed by certain people who judged us according to our discipline, where the most disciplined section will be given the title "most disciplined" once we got back to school. It was really hot considering that the parade started early in the morning.
There was a short break before the next event commenced. The Field Demo, where each grade levels, boys and girls separated, displayed and performed a festival dance. Lots of cheers and screams were heard as this event was ongoing. All displayed such great performances and everyone couldn't help but cheer on for them. Watching the others' performance was breathtaking, It was beautiful, no words. Also, it was a refreshing experience to dance with other people, I can't deny that I had fun.
Performance of Grade 10 Students
The next event is Concert For a Cause where students and teachers both sing ang perform on the stage. It started off with a message from the school's Principal then the performance of the singers. I was there to experience this and the crowd was wild, full of yelling, screaming, and singing the songs along with the singers. I can tell that a lot of the students relate to the songs that were sung. Some even put their phones up with writings on them. The crowd going wild for the songs that they relate the most to, screaming and yelling the lyrics of those songs. It was a blast.
There's no doubt that the 122nd Highschool Day was a success. Students enjoyed every single second of it, myself included.
